My nephew and my second cousin, so his third cousin. I think it's weird but they talk to each other in a flirty way. They didn't grow up together and our families don't even hang out or anything.

Nope, I wouldn't consider that incest and neither do the states.

Blood. She's my mothers sisters(aunt) granddaughter
Just reread the question. Yes their mothers are first cousins.

Quoting Liz_Rocket:
Is the third cousin related to your nephew by blood or by marriage?

A second cousin is your parent's cousin. Now if it is a cousin's child then that is a first cousin twice removed to you and a first cousin three times removed from your nephew in which case technically it is fine especially as they didn't grow up together. A third cousin is actually your grandparent's cousin.

No not incestuous. Incestuous generally implies a power relationship but not always. Kissing cousins, outside of American norms but nothing wrong with it. The could marry and have ten babies and it would be fine.

I wouldn't do it but I'm sure its done all the time! I just couldn't though...some how being in the same gene pool what so ever would freak me the hell out.
