Do your husband/ sig other/ etc and you own your own business? If so what do you do? What are your suggestions on getting started? My husband and I are thinking of starting a construction company. I come from a family of businessmen however, I'm not sure where to get started. I know you have to register your name and trademark and have a contract but that's all I really know. Any suggestions?

my husband is a contractor.  his dad is pretty well known in the area so he had a lot of contacts when he first started.  he primarily builds dentist offices around the state.  i'm not sure what you mean by registering a name & trademark.
