That is sickening.

You will wait in a room with other women, they will call you back and you will pay. They will then take you to do your ultrasound and they will determine how far along you are. They will have you watch videos and all that shit so that you know what to expect. They will then offer you to talk to a counselor. After you are done with that they will take you back to the "O.R" part. They will take you to a locker and have you undress and give you a gown and a blanket. they will then give you some pills to help your nerves and your body to prepare. you will then be sat down in a room with other women and wait your turn. You will be taken back and layed on a table. They will prop your feet and tell you to spread your legs..the doc will show you the "utensil" that will dilate your cervix and he/ she will give a shot in your cervix to help numb a bit..he will then dilate you and tell you that you will feel some pain and then you will feel tugging and some cramps. the loud machine will come on and a nurse will be there to hold your hand..it will be done in 5 min or less..they will escort you to a room with other women and you will sit on a "rocking chair" with a pad on it.. they will monitor your blood pressure and give you a pad with undies..usually after 30 min or so ( usually more if you get the shot for sedation before the procedure) they will give you some scripts, birth control and send you your way.

goodluck.

Physically? I've heard cramps.
Mentally and emotionally it depends on you.

I vaguely remember being asked which I preferred. Obviously I picked being awake lol.

Quoting Anonymous:

I was too. they gave me the option to get sedated but it was almost $50 more.

Quoting Anonymous:

You got put under? I was awake. Hurt like a bitch. Lots of cramping.

Quoting Diamondblue1:

you'll wake up a little crampy i think it's more getting over the mental part. i'm sorry you're going through that just pray on it

Really? What if the fetus has a congenital defect and would cause her to have life threatening complications giving birth to a stillborn? You people are so fucking self righteous when it's none of your business. She asked for help, not for some asshat to shit talk a decision she may be forced into to save her own life, you heartless heathen.

Not if your tit is gonna go all Arnold Schwartzenegger on everyone aroun you. I've gotten sprayed like a skunk by my aunt when I was a kid. It traumatized me. She was all fucking like, "GET IN DA CHOPPA!!" *makes rifle noises*

I have no words of advice for you since I have never been through that. I wish I could take the pregnancy from you and care for the child instead of this. Abortion makes me very sad.

Me personally? None. But my air adopted four children, one of which was born with an addiction to drugs ad has had very bad issues because of it. One who was 13 when they adopted her. I know a lot of people who would gladly adopt due to infertility.

Quoting Mocking.Jay:

So how many children have you adopted? How many of them have ADHD or FASD?
