Kind of a stupid question, but.... (race)

Can a member of a certain race be "racist" against their own race?

I was watching a video on facebook of these black guys making fun of black people (it's a song).

Is that racist? Or are they just maing fun of people and it's okay because it "can't" be racist? Can a white person be racist against white people if they make fun of white trash? I don't know.

I know it's a ridiculous question. I was just wondering if those types would be considered racist or just assholes.

Yes, my father is rascist toward Maori.

My father is part Maori, part European. He was born in a time where to be Maori was "dirty and uncivilised" so he was encouraged as a child growing up to basically pretend he was white and that he should not be proud of his Maori heritage. He was taught all sorts off bull crap about our iwi (tribe) to put him off further.

He makes fun of Maori at his own expense as well as ridicules them.

Funny thing is, he was also taught that Native Americans were very good people etc... when in reality, Maori and Native Americans actually are very common in both beliefs and history LOL... kind of hypocritical

Unfortunately it happens a lot. I saw once on the Tyra Banks show (years ago) there were people who would never date their own race. They talked so badly about the opposite sex in their race. It was sad but funny. Like they actually hated people in their race but they thought they were "all that".
