My kid is 2. I filled out a packet on him for his doctor. These are the questions and answers

1: Does he eat non-edible things such as dirt or toilet paper?

Yes

2: Does it take more than 15 minutes to calm from a tantrum?

Most of the time.

3: When you pick him up does he seem stiff?

Sometimes

4: Does your child get upset when you leave him at daycare or for5 a period of time?

Never/Rarely

5: Does your child sleep for at least 10 hours in a 24 hour period?

Sometimes

I think he is just being a normal 2 year old. Now they want to test him for problems!! What do you think?

Sounds like my son when he was 2, minus the eating stuff. He's normal and fine.

well ya he is not suppose to be eating things that are not food... he needs full sleep, and you might need some help if he is throwing a tantrum for more the 15 min.. that doesnt seem right... but good luck though

Doesn't sound normal to me.  On these questions alone with no other info, I would recommend testing as well.

Yes 2yr olds put things in their mouth but they often do not eat inedible things.

Children should not seem stiff when picking them up.

Not sleeping at least 10hrs in a 24hr period is also really bad.

Tantrums should be minimal at this age and should be over in about 5mins.

Only thing that I think is normal in your answers is daycare.

Those answers weren't normal for my kids at 2 but all kids are different. Sounds like your answers set of some red flags. I'd have him tested, better safe then sorry.

I don't think its normal for an almost 2 year old to EAT non-edible things. Put them in their mouth, sure.. maybe.. but actually eat something that they aren't supposed to. No, I don't think that is normal.

Tantrums.. yes.

Sorry, neither of my kids ever did that stuff.
