Help me figure out the best option.

Dh has been promoted and will be transfered to another city at the end of May (yay!). The problem is that our lease is up in April. We talked to our landlord and he said absolutely not to a month to month deal, it's a new year long lease or nothing. Our options are A) sign the lease and risk getting sued for breaking it B) move to the new city and spend gas money that we don't really have at the moment for him to drive an extra 3 hours a day until May or C) rent a really crappy place here that does month to month. I guess C is going to save the most money, but the only places I can find that will do that are in less than safe neighborhoods. Any other suggestions I'm not thinking of?

Unfortunately, no. Our only family here are dh's parents. They would let us stay with them, I'm sure, except that bil, sil and their 3 kids are already staying with them in their tiny two bedroom house.

He really is. I suppose I could threaten to counter sue because we paid to fix the a/c and he has yet to reimburse us, but I'm hoping we can just figure something out so it won't come to that.

don't you have any of those extended stay type places around where you live?
