Four with two legs
Three with four legs
One with no legs

YES, my animals are my kids!

The way people talk about "getting rid of", not taking them to the the vet, locking them in cages all day, leaving dogs outside in the cold, beating them, etc etc makes me sick! Oh, and the ones that say "she/he was SO cute as a puppy/kitten but now she/he isn't so we're taking him/her to the pound and getting another puppy/kitten".... ugh!

Why did they get the animals in the first place?!?!?!

I just don't get it....

An animal is a life long commitment! Yes, a puppy might just chew up your shoe (mine chewed my $2k couch!), a cat might claw your drapes, puppies/dogs bite, scratch and bark! They whine in the middle of the night to go out to potty. They want to go on walks when it's 20 degrees outside. They have needs and they can NOT do it themselves! You have to train your animals, you have to pay attention to your animals and you have to LOVE your animals!

If you aren't ready for that commitment... don't get a pet! Let that pet go to a loving home where they will get all the things they need!

2 moms liked this
I agree they are a commitment but I don't agree they are kids. They are totally different and when it comes down to it they are still animals.

I wouldn't let my kids tear up my house let alone an animal.
