So... hubby and I have been working very hard to establish ourselves and become a better family unit. Meaning we just moved into a better area and place. He recently got his license (i've had mine) I have a substantially higherphigher paying job than I did. As a result of that We no longer can receive fs which is more than ok with us. Our son has more stuff than he needs and wants or needs for nothing. To the point, our son needed an xray which required a 300.00 copay and we had that in savings. That is all we hadIn savings and on our person we only had a combination of 60 bucks and we dont get paid till Friday and he wants to complain about not having money but he is dragging his ass about getting a better job. He brings home about 400 bi weekly I bring home about 900 biweekly and once I complete training I'll be salary making about 1300. He wanted to go out with friends and he just wanted to let me know what he was doing and I responded okay I'll see you at home later he wanted some money from me and there was none to give so he borrowed 20 from his dad. I said if you had to borrow it, and that's all we have we need to stretch it far since we don't get paid for week. He asked what my problem is. My problem is you are borrowing money to blow and not even trying to upgrade us. So he texted and said sorry baby I'll get a better a job. I said okay that's fine well I get off work and he said I made him feel 2 inches tall. He felt I broke him down.... wtf!!

1 mom liked this

He is acting like a baby. I highly recommend Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover. It will teach how to become more financially responsible. It has changed our lives.

Lol. Many jobs pay this and more. I made good money when I worked ($10 years ago). I was Dispatch Supervisor.

I think you were right. He shouldn't be spending the last that you have on frivolous things when you are so stretched. He should at least wait until you're both paid. His feelings of inadequacy are his own and he probably felt belittled because he knew he was making a selfish choice and got called out.
