My 14m ds. Has this erashional(sp) fear of two of his toys and the mop when its in use.... is this normal? He will scream/cry runaway when they are near. When one of the toys plays the song. He will climb on me and dig his claws in me.... when I use the mop he will scream/cry and run away... this seems like odd behavior to me..

Maybe throw the toy away?? Lol my nephew is terrified of any toy that makes noise...i think it is common.

My kids were scared of a few toys. As far as the mop goes have you tried to get him to hold it and pretend to clean the floor?

1 mom liked this

Toss the toys and mop when he sleeps. Seems simple enough to me.

I would throw the toys away if he's that scared of them. Poor baby :(

it is not judging

grady was like that would go into distress when music tables would play and loud noises like lawn mowers

he is still like that but he is getting better and learning how to cope.

Sounds totally normal to me. Sad, but normal.

I might just put the toys away for when he is older... but the mop I use to clean. I cant very well toss it...

When my ds was 14 months old (and before that) he was scared of the vacuum. One day I had him stand next to me and help me push and now he is not afraid of it...of course now it takes me forever to vacuum because he wants to help! lol

When I was little, I was afraid of Molly Moo Cow. HATED that toy. Mom got rid of it.
