He's pissed I won't let him borrow my iPad

My fiancé has to go to Europe for 2 weeks on business and he wants to take my iPad and I told him no so now he's pissy.

This is why I told him no.

I let him borrow a camera of mine to take with him to Canada for work and he lost it. Granted the camera was only 130 bucks but still it was mine and he lost it and doesn't seem in the least bit remorseful about it.

He has an acer tablet and he went on and on and on and on and on about how much better it was than the iPad. How I would regret buying the iPad and so forth.

Then he broke the charger to the tablet 8 months ago due to negligence on his part and hasn't bothered to look for a replacement charger.

So now he looks for a charger and lo and behold they are super hard to find and basically his only option is to order one from amazon and have it shipped, only it won't get here until Tuesday and he's leaving Monday for his trip.

Again it's his problem. He had plenty of time to get a power cord he chose to wait 8 months even with me reminding him periodically to get the damn 9 dollar charger.

I of course did have to remind him that one of the reasons I chose to buy an iPad was because finding accessories and needed parts are so darn easy and cheap, which of course irritated him even more.

So now you see why I won't let him take my iPad with him? There is a chance it will get broken or lost and he doesn't have the money at the moment to replace it.

He doesn't seem too responsible with his and your belongings, so no I wouldn't let him take it.

I told him why, that he loses things and because I use the iPad daily.

No he's on a tight budget and can't afford to buy himself one at the moment.

How can he afford a trip to Europe, but not a new iPad? Or is this a company thing?
