I just came from Kroger and I think I should go back and speak to the manager. I bought cilantro, juice, a gallon of whole milk, and 6 jars of baby food. When I got to the cashier, he said "I need the coupon first". I was lost so I told him I  didnt have any coupons. Then he asked "this is WIC, right?" I asked him what because I was confused and he just said "give me the coupon first". I caught on and I told him,"um, no I'm paying with my debit card". I asked him why he asked me that and he just said because he would of had to had rang it up differently. But my question is, what the fuck makes you assume I cant afford milk and babyfood? Actually I make 90k a year abehaving unfavorably so why and I wasnt dressed poorly or behaving unfavorably so why the  did he just assume I was getting wic? Not to judge those who do, but what makes him assume I cant afford my own child's food?

I think it's just because you had items that are approved for wic. I wouldn't take offense to it. The cashiers have to ring it up a certain way. Perhaps the cashier should have said, "Is this WIC?" Instead of assuming, but I wouldn't get upset. I get asked, too, and I make a lot more than you do, no offense.

Get over yourself...he asked you a question. You are incredibly over reacting.

what does "behaving unfavourably" and welfare have to do with eachother?
