Q about your 5-6 year olds

When does your 5 year old typically go to sleep and wake up? We've never had a strict schedule so we have maintained odd sleep times. My 5 year old starts kindergarten next year so well have to start a normal schedule, I am not completely sure how one should be for school age kids though. Any other info you would like to add would be appreciated, such as when you start bed time routines and when you start/serve dinner. Thank you!

My 6 yr old goes to bed at 7 and wakes up about 6. We decided on an early bedtime since he will usually have a bad day if we wake him up. If he wakes himself up we usually have a good shot his day will go great!

Sorry, missed the part about other info. We eat early, usuLly 5, sometimes 4:30 because he is hungry when he comes home from school. And not just snack hungry, meal hungry. Bedtime routine starts around 7/7:30 he lolligags amd we read a lot of books, go over some educational type things, etc before bed. Because he fought bathtime at night and it was super stressful...and involved screaming amd tears from both sides; he now gets a bath in the mornings. i know this isnt typical, but it works for us. Plus...he occassionally still wets the bed, so there is no need to bathe at night and then again in the morning.

ds1 is a non-napper. he goes to bed at 8:30 and wakes up between 6:30 and 7:10.

ds2 is a napper, he'll be 4 in 2 weeks, but he goes to bed at 8:30 but will sleep until 6:30 (if ds3 gets up loud) to 9:00

Oh and he LOVES video games, but isnt allowed to.play them during the week. He has a bad attitude when he does (but is fine on the weekends....go figure!)
