We had my dad's memorial yesterday. It was standing room only.

We did our best to honor him, and I think we did a good job. We all(my sisters and I) got up and spoke.

I was the only one that broke down while speaking,.

At the end we had bagpipes playing "Danny boy"
Which my dad loved to sing.

It was beautiful, and wonderful, and terrible.

The one thing that made me smile without any sadness is that both the funeral director and the assistant told me that my 13 month old daughter was the most beautiful baby they had ever seen, and suggested I get her into commercials.

I know I have talked a lot about my dad in the past week. I just miss him terribly, and I am feeling a lot of guilt and fear that he died disappointed in me.

Also, my sister told me 7 years ago that if Dad had a heart attack it would be on my shoulders. I know that was a long time ago, but he died of a heart attack...
