Paying people to immunize their children

I just read that our state has an outreach project in which they award families that immunize their children with all primary immunizations by age 2 with prize money towards a utility bill through something like a lottery. They also receive "prizes" each time they bring their child in for their immunizations such as hand sanitizer and sippy cups.

How do you feel about this type of incentive to immunize?

I'm all for vaccines but that's ridiculous!

Sounds like a good way to encourage immunizations.

I would never accept any type of bribe to use my children as the govts guinea pigs.

I think it's a great program. If it means less children without immunizations, it's awesome.

Awful.  I support (most) vaccinations, but not on the traditional schedule.  Finishing all vaccines by 2 is really, really hard on a child's immune system.
