Make up or No Make Up; What Do You Ladies Think?

Ok so my DD's school is putting on a family dance that is 80's themed & I am debating on letting my DD wear make up.

She is 8yrs old & I've put make up on her for special occassions like weddings she has been in & Halloween, but she's never worn make up to school.

We have an outfit all ready for the dance & I know how I'm doing her hair & she is asking to wear make up.  Not sure why but I keep going back & forth with it.

So what do you ladies think, make up or no make up?

UPDATE:  I am going to go WITH make up.  I am not sure why I went back & forth but this is suppose to be something fun, something for the kids to experience & dress up for.

I allow make up for Halloween so I am not really seeing this as being much different.

So my DD will be sporting the side ponytail (I suck at doing her hair so this is easiest), jean skirt w/rainbow leg warmers, a grey tshirt that looks kind of ripped & has LOVE written on it in bright letters, she will wear a bright pink tank under it as it is longer in the back than the front.

Then of course she will be wearing some fun make up, but not overly goddy:)

Thank you ladies, I can't wait to go hav a blast w/my DD on Friday:)

I'd let her put makeup on...it's for a fun special event.

That is the way I am leaning. I guess I just hold back bc I've never let her wear make up to school.  I mean I know it isn't like she is going to school like that; idk I'm weird I guess.

I'm not the cat lady type. I'm more like an actual cat. I want affection when I want it and on my own terms. The rest of the time I want to claw out your eyes and piss in your shoes.

I let my middle daughter where makeup for halloween or other dress up type occasions, she's 5..

So I'd definitely say make-up.. haha

True. No mascaras or anything...just do some fun neon colors on her face and call it a day.

She doesn't need mascara, her eyelashes are long & extremely dark.

So what is all that jazz?
