So far everyone agrees. Then why is it that when we hear about a case of rape we ask ourselves what she could have done to avoid getting raped...
I don't think rape is caused by those things but i do think that if women are more proactive about it they can prevent rape from happening as often as it does. If we lived in a perfect world we could just teach people not to be rapists but since we don't I think we need to teach people how to avoid situations in which rape it more likely to occur. This doesn't mean I think anyone but the rapist is at fault. And it also doesn't mean that I think all rapes can be avoided, but I do know from personal experience if women are more proactive *some* rapes could be prevented.
