Question

You're getting ready to leave for church.  As you're buckling one of your children into their carseat, your DH points out that a duck has just landed in the driveway behind your car.  It lets you get to within 3 feet of it before walking a bit away to keep it's distance.

What would you do?

I'm the kind of person that isn't about to turn away free meat.  I went in the house and got DH's revolver and he shot it.  It's currently in my oven working on becoming roast duck with wild mushroom sauce.

Stand motionless and stare at it.

Nothing. I'd get in the car and start to leave. The duck will move. :)

Start backing the car out slowly. It will move.

Pick it up if it won't shoo off. Ducks don't bite that hard, and even a domestic duck should be able to find home again.
