Because even though my kids are on spring break this week I'm going to keep them on there same schedual. I don't see the need for them to be up late just because.they are on break. The way I see it, once the week is over I don't need to try and get them back on there schedual because it wasn't broken to begin with.

Personal choice.  Some kids it doesn't matter, with some it does.  I always let my kids stay up later when they didn't need to go to school, but a lot of people don't.

I think you have made a wise choice.  Kids need consistency.  That doesn't make you a bad mom.  You friend is nutso.  They are not her kids anyway, so what does she care?

...did she actually call you a bad mom or was she being funny? Cause if she thinks that makes for a bad mother, her poor little head would explode if she saw some of my rules.

Your kids, your decision. What's it to her?

Exactly,.each kid is different. If mine deviate from there schedual its difficult to get them back on. Every once in a while doesn't hurt but the whole week would be a nightmare come Friday lol.
