If you are a teacher / daycare worker would call you CPS if one of the kids said she didn't get to eat dinner last night because she "was bad"???

One meal missed happens to a lot of kids in the USA and not because they are bad.

No. Sending a child to bed early because of poor behavior isn't abuse. If they aren't getting enough to eat and are constantlly punished by taking away food, then I would do something, but one missed dinner, no. And I was punished with starvation as a child, so I know how serious and wrong it is, but a well fed cared for child being sent to bed with no dinner for extreme misbehavior is not abuse.

CPS? No.. However I very much disagree with this form of punishment.

No.
Now if they said they werent getting food for a whole day because they were bad then i would see if it was a reoccuring thing.
My ds gets sent to bed without dinner often, because he REFUSES to eat dinner and im not a catering to him and making him chicken nuggets for every meal. So he throws a giant fit. I still allow it to be available if he wants it but usually he wont eat and will be super hungry in the morning.
