clothes that don't fit, toys your kids don't play with, or things you don't want anymore? I actually do all of the above. It depends on what it is. If it is broken or damaged or stained or ripped, I trash it. I have 3 little girls who are 10, almost 8, and 6 so I repack my kids clothes at the end of the season, unless it's the youngests. These I sort through, sell or dump. Some years I am not in the  mood to do a garage sale, so I end up taking it to the Goodwill. I also have friends who like hand me downs, so I give some of the  nicest stuff to them. (I think it creates good karma). I get a buttload of stuff handed down to me so I feel it's my duty to pass it on as well. This year I have been stashing all my extras in boxes and harboring them in the garage. I am going to have a blow out garage sale as soon as the weather permits! (I actually haven't had a sale in like 4 years) So, tell me what you do with your extras or unwanted treasures?

I do a little bit of all the stuff said. Some I keep and I am going to make a blanket for my kids when they graduate from high school.

I just listed DD's clothes online and sold some newborn items from DS. When I'm not pressed for cash I just take things to Goodwill or pass them on.

Ahah! I didn't think of that! I will see if I can add it by editing?

i throw most of our stuff away because my kids are experts at trashing everything.  if something is still in relatively good condition, i'll donate to goodwill

All of the above. It just depends on what it is and who could use it.

We donate nearly everything we can. we don't donate underwear or torns things, those are tossed or become rags.

Usually a combination of 2 and 3, unless it's broken or ruined.

Recycle, donate, give away.

I`ve never had to pay one penny for my children`s clothing, EVER.

And they are 7 and 5 years old.

So I pay it forward by doing the same thing.. pass on nice clothes, shoes, accessories and toys to other families, etc.

We have a rule, get something new, donate something you don't want anymore. keeps the house, garage clean of clutter, Aslo if we have something, we haven't used in a year, it goes to donation also.

I grew up with a mother, who cluttered up the house, I can't stand it.

Donation  = 's friends, family get first pick, then what's left goes to the needy.
