Has anyone on these boards actually lost weight, or gotten in shape with Wii Fit?
I have one that we pretty much bought for fun years ago.
Now, after having a baby, I need to lose about 50 pounds. It's either try the Fit, or buy the P90x system. I'd like to save the money, unless the Fit won't work. I don't want to waste time...
**Edit**
I am NOT Asking HOW to lose weight, and I understand that diet and exercise are what needs to happen.
What I am asking is if anyone has actually used their Wii Fit program (with the balance board) to actually lose weight and get fit??
Damn...don't people READ anymore?

I love our Wii, and YES, you can loose weight. As you get further along and open up more of the games the exercises get harder and more intense. I was a bad ass at the yoga part for awhile, and I almost unlocked all the poses. Good luck.

True, but it does weigh you, and helps you keep track of your progress on a calendar.
Quoting LucyHarper:You don't have to buy anything, just get out and get active. You do not need any kind of tv program to lose weight.

A scale and calender can do the same exact thing.

Thank you! That was what I was looking to find out.
I haven't played with mine since I got pregnant...the OB was against it. I'm actually looking forward to getting into it again.
The baby might find it fun too. :-)

Oh get your panties out of a wad. It is a good tracking system and it even can show you where you are distributing your weight to make your whole body off balance. It also helps you gauge the level of difficulty so that you don't move ahead too fast and hurt yourself.
