In the livingroom right beside me? He will be two years old in a month. I'm just so tired. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't get into anything he's not supposed to...

I've taken naps when my kids are awake. I've taught them what they can and cannot touch. They know better. They are 4 and 2, my 4 year old just turned 4 this month.  You need to relax when you can. Maybe not nap, but relax at least.

you maybe suprised what they can get into when they aren't being watched..go outside get some air and stop being in the house for awhile.

can you go in a room and barricade it with a gate?

I've done it.  My house is baby proofed and I always put gates up so that they can't leave the room.
