Don't have one! Quiet asking people to" donate" money for ur wedding! U wanna get married so bad but cant afford it?? Why even have a party. Just go down to the court house and pay for the license.

U don't need a big fancy wedding party to be married!

*as a matter of fact if u cant afford ur wedding then u certainly cant afford ur honeymoon! Don't ask people to pay for that too!

alrighty then, never seen anyone ask for donations for a wedding.  But wouldn't suprise me if someone did.

I agree.

Several times now we've received wedding invitations with notes in them telling dh and I not to give a gift but to send cash.  We send our regrets and a nice card instead.  We struggle enough paying our own bills, thank you very much... we're not going to fund your wedding.

The thing is... if there is nothing like that in the invitation, we normaly do send cash.

I know a friend who is asking people throughfb to donate money for the wedding, i had another one a couple months ago ask for money instead of gifts to pay for her honeymoon.
