How much does it cost a year to have a kid homeschooled by a professional teacher? We are moving back to NY in June and I don't want to send my kids to public school and private school is too expensive at the moment. I also don't want to teach them on my own (no offense but I find that stupid). I want 2 actual teachers to come to the house every day (except the weekend of course) and teach them.
How much would that cost a year?
Well, shit. For that I could send them to private/Catholic/Christian school
Quoting Anonymous:
About 100'000$ a year . Each teacher gets 50,000$ . And that's cheap
I see that. Someone said 100,000

Private school would be cheaper
When I stopped going to school because of my epilepsy I had a homeschool teacher come out and teach me.
Quoting Sassy762:First you have to find out if New York laws allow a Teacher to homeschool your children instead of a parent. Then you could post a job announcement online in education forums or even take out an ad in your local paper.
Okay...I found this info

What do you mean provide their own curriculum? And there are 2 children ages 8 and 9 (but will be 10 by the time I will need a teacher). In grades 3 and 6(the older one is supposed to be skipped)
Quoting LunieLoopen:Would the teachers have to provide their own curriculum? How old are the children and how many are there?
