I think the title says it all.
Is it possible to be spiritual if you are an athiest?
spiritual[ spir-i-choo-uhl ]
adjective
1. of, pertaining to, or consisting of spirit incorporeal.
2. of or pertaining to the spirit or soul, as distinguished from the physical nature: a spiritual approach to life.
3. closely akin in interests, attitude, outlook, etc.: the professor's spiritual heir in linguistics.
Simply because atheists lack a belief in supreme beings or god doesn't mean they cannot be spiritual.
well i guess it just sort of depends on how an atheist views it all! spirituality generally refers to something beyond the physical, a higher noncorporealness (yeah i added a "ness" to a word that shouldn't have one! lol)... like an energy that could be referred to as a spirit. believing in that and how that effects you could be spirituality, not something created by a higher being, but a potentially scientifically explainable energy force we all have....
I'm an atheist.. and i like the idea, but i wouldn't say i have spirituality.....
FALSE.
