Would you( given that you could afford too) spend $200-500 on a pedigree dog? Or would you just adopt a mixed breed becuase hey, they need homes to?

Adopt a mixed breed. We have a mixed english shephard now and he's gorgeous and thinks he's human. ;-) I did luck out 12 years ago though. My Dh and I were given a AKC certified Rottie. He was the most beautiful and most loyal dog. I had to have him put down in 2010 because he had cancer. I still miss him dearly. I have never paid hundreds on a dog. We've always gone to the pound or were given our pets.

If a pedigreed dog costs $200 - $500 I would have to wonder if the pedigree papers are legit from a reputable kennel club.
