so my sons been working this job for about 6 months, wakes up at 3 every morning gets ready, then wakes up his df so she can wake up enough to drive him to work by 4:45(they only have one car). and like i said they've been doing this for 6 months already and all of a sudden my son comes home and says "im just going to stay here for a couple days so liz can have a whole nights sleep instead of losing an hour" i cant help but think somethings going on. like they are fighting....or broken up, because after 6 months it shouldnt be hard to wake up that early and then go home and jump right back in bed....

what would you think if your son or husband said that he was going to stay with you/his parents so you wouldnt have to drive him to work?

I'd just ask him. If he denies it, I'd say "ok, just making sure you're ok."

Dunno, but my husband stayed at his mother's house during the winter months for YEARS because she lives only 20 minutes from the office, but we live 58 miles from the office.  We didn't have a 4x4 Jeep at that time.

i can understand that situation but my son just randomly said he's going to stay here for a couple days

Seems kind of weird.

I'd just let him know you're there if he needs anything.

Can you call the fiancé?

1 mom liked this

If it was my son I wouldn't get involved.  If it was my husband I would tell him not to do that.
