Baby Names....eta

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

We're planning our second child, and I have names, and I want some feed back....

For a girl: Athena Esperanza Lucia De La Vida Patricia (I know its a mouthful)

And for a boy : Lalo Lucio Patricio (another mouthful)

Or Esteban

ETA: Okay, how about I drop the Athena, just have it, Esperanza Lucia De La Vida, and leave the Patricia on there as well, and just not include it when we tell people her name...I want it there more for my dad.

And then the boy, Have it just be Lucio Patricio, or Lalo Patricio.

 No, I just like them.

Quoting Pnukey:

OP, why do you want such long names? Is it a tradition in your family?

Quoting wickedfiress:

This is what I saw when reading the OP:

Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore

But I'm a nerd like that.

I always giggle at Brian. It's too normal for Dumbledore.

I know what the other names mean but De La Vida is more of a last name.  It's actually similar to my last name

Quoting Anonymous:

Esperanza means hope, and Lucia means light...so when its all together it basically means, Hope the light of life.

Quoting hayliedlr:

why the De La Vida in the middle of the girl name?

Oh ok. Well, I would not give my one kid so many names. Lucia Esperanza or Esperanza Lucia is pretty. If I ever have a girl, I am going to name her Malinali Mariana or Malinali Xochitl to honor the Aztecs and the woman who saved them from complete destruction (La Malinche).

Quoting Anonymous:

I'm white, but practically grew up mexican (only white girl in a mexican neighborhood) and I married into a mexican family.

They may be shortened though,

Quoting LexsMami:

Why do you want to give them so many names to have to learn to spell in Kindergarden? Take it from a Spanish girl with lots of names...it isn't fun.

Are you Hispanic/Latina or do you just like Spanish names?
