Professional Movers

Is it normal for professional movers to reuse packing material from other people's houses?? I noticed the boxes have another family's name on them and the packing paper is also used. The last time we did a move the company used brand new packing materials. Should I be worried?

why would that be worrisome? they are reusing something instead of throwing it away. Recycling is okay.

As long as they give you all your stuff I don't see what the problem would be. Nothing wrong with recycling.

Personally, I'd be worried. If their bedding or soft material was stored there and the family had bed bugs.....

I'm all for recycling, but I'd feel better if the company had a policy to only use plastic bags for soft things and boxes for everything else. Then, no big deal.

Nope, it is absolutely normal for moving companies to reuse boxes. Usually they'll charge you for boxes and then will give you some of your money back if you return the boxes when you are done unpacking. We were charged $40 a piece for the 5 large wardrobe boxes we used when we moved and got $38 a piece back when we returned them to the moving company.
