Vent- When animal lovers eat meat...

I've seen  post about animal cruelty on FB alll the time about how we have to stop the abuse on animals. And they post these Horrible sad pictures of beaten & neglected dogs...

Yet some of these same people are huge meat eaters & dont think about what happens to the animals we eat before they get to our table...

Im not saying all animal activist should be vegetarians, but why not try to buy more animal friendly meat? Why not try to get it out there the cruelty that takes place to our farm animals as well?

It annoys the crap out of me!

I make a huge effort to purchase meat from humane places. It costs a bit more, but I know exactly where my meat comes from.

Domesticated animals and wild animals are different plus cows are stuff are often raised for the slaughter.

How are they different? And I say this as someone who eats beef and totally spoils my dogs, but I feel that all animals deserve to be humanely treated, whether they are pet animals or food animals.

You have a point. The way animals are treated on factory farms is pretty atrocious. This is coming from a meat eater.
