Toddler wants to be spoonfed

How do I break her of this? She can feed herself but she doesn't want to. If I make her feed herself, she'll eat only a few bites and she's done. If someone feeds her, she'll eat more of her meal.

My kids have gone through stages like that and my youngest wad just like that, i just fed her so shed actually eat. No big deal IMO she's independent in a lot of other ways and she has the rest of her life to feed herself lol

Let her eat a few bites and be done. When she gets hungry enough, she will eat. Toddlers don't always eat that much. She won't starve.

Let her do it herself. When she is done she is done. She will eat what she needs and if she needs more. She will learn to eat more when she is sitting there and eating.

Very simple. Don't spoon feed her. If she's too lazy to feed herself then she must not be too hungry.

What's that supposed to mean?

my DD tried this. I told her she was a big girl and could feed herself. If she didn't want to eat all her food (i based her portions on how much I know she can eat) then she wouldn't get dessert. If she still didn't finish it then I put her leftovers (still on the plate) in the fridge and when she said she was hungry later, I pulled it out, heated it up and gave it to her, as the only thing she was allowed to eat. Good luck!

Let her do it herself... she'll eat as much as she needs. She doesn't have to eat a bunch at each meal
