Junk food and kids

We buy very little junk food in our home. There is some but we are not big junk food eaters. However my kid LOVES Oreos. She went to the store with a friend and used her money to buy a package. She seemed to think that meant she could eat them all when she wanted too. I told her she could have all of them but she was still limited to how many per day.

She is 10. She didn't see this as quite fair since she spent her own money.

Aw....  yea explain the same rule goes for us adults :)  If we sit down and eat a whole package we made end up deathly sick with diarrhea or throwing up.  Not to mention how many calories we are indulged in.  Yeah, I think a few is more than enough for anyone!

I don't completely ban it.  We just don't keep a lot on hand.  When we go to the store dd gets to pick out a treat or two for the week.  But we both eat it.  She wanted the oreos all to herself.

I allow it in the house, but moderation is taught and kept to. And it definitely isn't a meal replacement.
