WHY is your house DIRTY?

I don't get it. I'm not a crazy person who cleans all day, yet my house is still always company ready clean. The excuse I hear most often is that they "don't have time". That kills me because keeping the house clean really doesn't take much time at all. If your house isn't clean, what is the reason WHY?

I work and have 2 young tornadoes. It's mostly clutter, not dirty. But it's not spotless.

cleaning up DOES take a lot of time -- if you don't keep up with it a little at a time. :/ I stay on top of chores so I don't find myself with hours of cleaning.

Right now. Because my 7 yo has been sick for 14 days :-/ then her not sleeping well and the 4 yo of course not sleeping through the night lately either. I'm running on auto pilot right now. Bare minimum.

It isn't filthy but it isn't company ready because I hate cleaning.

I just finished my 3rd 12hr shift. But I'm off tonight so as soon as I finish some stuff online in ginna spend a few hours catchin up. Then off to bed.....

My house is never completely clean. My kitchen might be clean but then the dining room is cluttered. The living room will be clean but then something else will be messy. I think my house reflects my scattered mind.

The flu has me so far behind that its gonna take some weeks to catch up.

Work work work. That's all I seem to do. Or I'm out doing thing that got to get done. Plus the man and the little boy who live here don't seem to help.
