Saw a man die this morning because he got hit by a truck while jaywalking. Every day as I travel on and off the bus, I see people crossing against the light, running across major thoroughfares at night in dark clothing, and even trying to weave through traffic pushing babies in strollers or carrying their little ones. If you or anyone you know has ever jaywalked, please think twice before doing it again. Such a thing is not worth the risk, let alone whatever time you think you might save by doing so. The most important thing to save is your own life.

Good drivers also pay attention to the damned road ahead. Unless this guy was running faster than the breaks on that truck would have worked, or stepped out right in front of it.

Omg that's so sad! A lot of people do that here too! The press the button like 10 times, then cross on a green light! It's awful! But I also live in ma so the drivers show no mercy. I almost got hit one time crossing the cross walk, with a walk signal, because this idiot didn't want to wait to turn. I just looked at him and threw my hands in the air and yelled at him.
