For me it was my MomMom. She was in her 70's when I was born. Took my brother and I in when we were teens and she was in her 80's. she has always been my hero, and I miss her terribly. She died 3 years ago yesterday.
A lot of what she taught me didn't really sink in until I was an adult, but I remember her and think "If only she could see me now! I hope I'd make her proud."
I will not do something I think is wrong. I don't lie. I don't take what isn't mine. I respect people and property. I put others first. I am the best most doting wife I know how to be. I am always kind.
I just want to be the person she wanted to raise me to be. And, every time I hit a rough patch I hope that I am making the choices she would want me to make.
I wouldn't be a good person, wouldn't be me without her.
Who/what helped you become you?
