gotta new vehicle. df told me to fill it up when i leave work tonight.

i dont know how. i've never filled a tank before. how do i know how much gas to get? what if i preset it and i dont need that much? can i overflow the damn tank??

Use your debit card and fill it up. The pump will turn off on its own when it is full. And yes, if you keep pushing the handle down after it stops you can over fill the tank.

(I've done it before lol!)

i can pump gas just fine, i do it daily, but a fill up? couldnt do it before because of reasons such as i didnt wanna fill it up to have it break down. lol. now i can and have no idea how.

You usually don't have to prepay if you are using a credit card.

Ask another customer to help you when you get to the station.  It's something you will only need to be shown once and you will get it.  No shame in asking for help.  Good luck. :-)

Oh and there is a little arrow on some newer cars on your gas gauge.  That will tell you what side your tank is on.

The pump will automatically shut up when it is full. You will feel the handle release. Lol My 14 year old dd knows how to put gas in a car.
