Do YOU see this as domestic abuse? *Edit*

I was told today that domestic abuse does not mean just physical abuse but it is also:

Yelling

Name Calling

Controling (as in "No we're not going to a movie tomorrow night")

Threatening (threats as in "I'll just leave then!")

and then the obvious financial and physical abuse...

So do you think ALL of this is ABUSE? If not, which one's do you not consider abuse?

Ohhh I shouldnt have asked... I honestly dont see these things as abusive... I guess there's a reason for that though :-\

EDIT: Ok... Lets add that the "abuse" (nothing physical AT ALL) happens a few times a week but the rest of the time it is a normal, loving relationship where the people do things for each other and help each other through bad times and stuff... What say you now??

I think all other than namecalling.... are ALWAYS abusive. Name calling in good fun is obviously okay; but then again my DH and I call each other names all the time being funny.

Yes controlling behavior, yelling/name calling, and threats are abusive

Yes they are. I know people lose their tempers occasionally and may raise their voice, but name calling, threatening and controlling is unacceptable.

Yep, emotional abuse, which can be far more damaging than physical alone.
