Thats what people thought back in the '30s. I was studying for my human sexuality class, and in there was it was mentioned about the Tuskegee Syphilis Study...if you havent read about it, its very interesting the way scientists and doctors percieved race and genetics back then. It made for a very interesting article critique thats for sure!

Yeah we read about that in Psyc 1001. It's horrific.

I took a Human Sexuality class and the professor never mentioned anything like this. Do you have links?

I actually learned that in my human sexuality class when I was in college.

Just google 'Tuskegee Syphilis Study' and it pops up a LOT of articles on it. I took one by an Allan M Brandt and did my report on that. And my aunt also said there is a book called 'Bad Blood' refering to this same study

I heard there were thousands of illegal and secret sterilization a on black rape victims back them too, shots crazy!

Its disgusting! It amazes me how decietful and irresponsible people were just to 'see what happens' basically

Hm maybe that will be my next research project! I didnt think I would like this class, but Im actually learning a lot about it

Its sickening the way people used to think, and it was ok to do that. I read in my article today that a Dr I think said that if African Americans hadnt been freed from slavery then this wouldnt have happened

When I ran across it in my book I was just like say what ?!?! and I went and googled it right then!
