Talk about inconvenient...

The good news is that, once my current lease is up on 5/20, we are moving to an awesome townhouse closer to my job! Yay!

The bad news is... the school year doesn't end until June 11th, lol. So, either I switch my kids schools 3 weeks before the end of the year, or my DH drives 30 minutes each way, twice daily, to drop them off and pick them up for 3 weeks.

I don't want to go through the hassle of switching schools so close to the end, but that's a lot of gas and a lot of mileage. Bleh, not sure what we are going to do yet!

Could you just let them end the year early?

I'm not sure... they've missed quite a bit of school this year. I don't think it would  be excused. I might ask the school about that, though.

I would probably just suck it up and drive them for 3 weeks.

That's what I'm thinking. I think it would be silly to enroll them for only 2.5 weeks of school up here.

Haha, yeah. I was surprised because the school year used to end right around the 20th... we thought "Oh, perfect timing!". I only recently looked at the calendar and was like wtf, June 11? lol.

Personally, I'd probably keep them in their school and let them finish out the year. It's almost over anyways. It's only 3 weeks.

It's only 3 weeks you and hubby can suck it up I think. It's a long way and will mess up routine but worth it. We are a military fam n I see the affects and benifits of keeping kiddo in the same school
