Things your mom did that you disagree with

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post
My mom and I were talking today and the subject of bathing came up. She told me that from the time I was born until I was 3 or 4 she bathed me twice a day everyday. I was shocked because I had HORRIBLE excema as a baby and throughout childhood and, well, now I know why.

What are some things that your mom did to you that you would never do?

I'll add:

-She put me to sleep on my stomach as an infant and more than once I stopped breathing.

-She put me in beauty pageants.

-She wouldn't let me play outdoors.

 Where do I begin? lol

-She used benadryl frequently to make us sleep and be out of her hair.

-She chased us around with a metal serving spoon and beat us when we were bad.

-She only breastfed me for 6 months.

-She fought with my dad in front of us.

And, well, thats as much "normal" parenting I remember, by age 9 she was a crack head prositute who when she was home was a pile of garbage, until she finally abandoned us and left us with our dad.

She picked a man over me. I left when he started beating me. I knew he was terrible and mean and begged her not to marry the POS. it took him almost killing her before she finally left. I hope he dies a horrible death. I still resent her for it .

I may never look at ice cream cones the same.. o-o LOL!

She used to feed us tuna in ice cream cones. I dont disagree with this, mainly I find it funny, because hey at least it was a creative way to get us to eat, but it may be why I am not a fan of ice cream cones lol

Damn! Why do people always blame their moms. No one ever talks about what the father does wrong.

It really does crack me up, everytime we talk about it. She swears we loved it, I dont really remember, but I guess if I ate it I probably liked it...

Hard drugs (I smoked pot when I was fifteen for two weeks but never would do hard drugs)

Staying in an abusive marriage (she married two abusive guys, had an abusive boyfriend)

Sugar tits (sugar wrapped in a rag, the end tied off so the sugar can't get out, then dipped in booze to help with teething)

Smoking
