Do you tip on the same scale everywhere

Or are you more likely to tip more at an upscale restaurant vs a casual one, assuming the service is the same?

Nope...25%...it goes up/down based on actual service...we generally like most servers...

I tip based on the amount of the bill. So at a nicer restaurant it's obviously a bigger tip. I tip 20%+. I always double the first number (or first 2 numbers if the bill is over $100) and add a dollar if the second number is high then $4. Then if the service was really great I may add a couple dollars.

Oh and I never tip less then $5.

I tip based on service regardless the place. Great servie equal great tip, crap service equal crap tip, if I give one, plus the lovely review of do not eat at that place to everybody I come in contact with.
