did you scream and yell in labor?

I just watched a video and I'm curious. I never did with either of my kids, I was super calm, God only knows how or why...

I also heard a woman screaming the night I gave birth to my first daughter.

For my first one I'm sure I yelled a bit,.especially when he started suturing me up right after I delivered (no local, no nothing)  other than that,. I didn't yell or scream but I certainly wasn't calm -I was in pain.

Sure did when I was going med free. I didn't the times I had the epidural.

With my first two no.

With my third, yes.

I had a very precipitous labor and it was incredibly painful.  I dilated from 2-10 in 30 minutes.  The nurses told me to be quiet that I was scaring the other laboring moms.  :)

I was all natural, not a single scream. I did however silently sob and beg the nurse to let me push.

Not really. My first I was very quiet, mostly just concentrating.

With my second I only screamed a couple times, because BOTH epidurals didn't help. (They said my contractions were off the charts.) I'm not really a loud person anyway so it doesn't surprise me.

Oh, though with my second I screamed those couple times then got yelled at by the anesthesiologist and told to be quiet. That pissed both my husband and the nurses off, I was told later.
