contractions about 7 min apart.........advice pls

Posted by   + Show Post

im having some good contractions. last about a min, strong ones, the kind that make decent "hills"  when they are monitoring you.

but they are spaced out 7-10 min apart. i am reclined in the recliner, and have had 5  strong contractions in the last half hour or so.

how do i know if its the real deal?

Pregnancy stupidity.....it's a clinical diagnosis! LOL

If they don't go away when you're laying down and you can't talk through them, go in. If it's your 5th, I'd probably go in when they get close to 5 minutes apart. How far are you?

Quoting D.O.E.:

lol no it is my last! 5th pregnancy. i always know exactly what my body is doing until those last weeks, then its like i  get dumb & dont know whats going on

Quoting BeAmour:

damn, I didn't even know you were pregnant!

Go lay down on your side and see if they go away.

If you can't talk through them, go in.

Is this your first?

No, it's like her fourth...of course she gives half of them away.

I would find ways to make it stop and if it does not and they keep getting stronger and hopefully closer together. Then it most likely is the real deal.

I'm trying to understand how you not know what labor feels like when you have kids already. Don't you have a toddler?

I think that if they're regular, not spastic it's a pretty good bet they're real. I've heard and read in books that BH have a tendency to be irregular.
