For girls I'd say 7-8

For boys if they really want it it'll be teen years.
Never been a fan of boys with ear rings not cause " it's a girl thing" but I just do t like the look.

2 moms liked this
I absolutely detest infants with ear piercings, so my rule was that when my daughter asked me for them, we'd get them. Hers were also a fourth birthday present.

I'd say the same rule would apply to my son. When he asks, he may get. But his daddy also has 3 inch plugs. O_o

Would you have done it had she been a boy?

This. My daughter had hers pierced at 4 months but my son can't have any until he's on his own. I don't do long hair or earrings for boys.
