I was changing my two year old daughter and she pointed down to well, we all know what and asked "What's this?" I told her "That is your vagina." She repeated "bagina" or something like that lol

My husbands eyes grow wide and he just stares at me like I did something wrong. I asked him "Well, dear, what would you rather she call it?"

Its the proper term, what was the big deal? lol

My son knows girls have vaginas too cuz he wanted to know why baby sister didn't have a penis. Nothing wrong with the word vagina.

Tell your husband to go ahead and teach her to call it her flower and cookie.

God forbid if shes touched innappropriately, you will have a hell of a time convincing prosecutors that the pedophile really touched her vagina.

This is the main reason why I ALWAYS teach proper names for their private parts. Plus, why is the proper words even "taboo" to begin with?

They know the proper names, but have named their own parts differently. Bleh, don't really matter to me.

Isn't the proper name for the entire area "vulva"; unless she was pointing to the hole in the middle? At least you were teaching her correct terminology rather than slang words. My dh freaks out about talking about anything sexual with our children, too.
