How old were you when you started? if you have quit, how old were you when you quit?

I was about 13 when I started stealing them from my mom and about 16 when I started smoking openly. I am 33 now and still smoke.

I started at 14. I quit when I was 20.
My mom figured out that I smoked when I was almost 16 and she & my step-dad started to buy them for me as long as I promised to only smoke in the house (and not in public where I could get into trouble).

Started at 15. Quit about 3 months ago. I'm 27.

Quit off and on through the years.

I'm so done now! :)

I was in 5th grade when I started stealing them from my mom. I was a pack a day smoker by 18. I quit for good at age 30. I'm 38 now.

18 when I started and I quit on and off with the kids, but I'd say 37 when I quit for good.

I started when I was 12, have tried quitting several times. I just recently picked it back up again, I have NO IDEA why, but I'm disappointed in myself. 21 and still smoking :/

I think that if I'm ever going to quit and stay quit, I'm just going to KNOW and FEEL that it's time. I think that's why I keep failing, because I'm not truly ready to quit yet.

I was 17 when I started smoking, and I quit the day I found out I was pregnant (Nov. 20th, 2011), I was 22.
