Purple and black or light blue and black. Black is stylish not just Gothy.

I don't know, it just seems so dark, and im just awful at decorating. The only thing I see in my head with it is pink, and neither one wants a pink room.

Quoting CheesyKitty:

Why not?

If that is what she wanted. I wanted all black furniture as a teen and my mom REFUSED. I hated it. I hated that I had to keep her ugly floral wall paper on the walls and she wouldn't let me paint and do my own thing.

My kids do not and will not have free range on their rooms but we can work together to make their room a space that is nice an reflects them while still being nice and cohesive.

Probably not, but if she wanted it, we would try to make it work.
