Sure, I like black furniture. If she wanted it, I don't see why not.

My boys have great beds, theyre black and less than 2 years old, I really want to redo the house and since they're going to be 14 soon I was thinking maybe larger beds (full) that they can use for years but I want someone to use these practcally new beds lol

you could always add pops of color to brighten the room up. Orange, yellow, pink, lime green, lavendar, etc...all would go good with black! Good luck
Quoting bcoll:

I don't know, it just seems so dark, and im just awful at decorating. The only thing I see in my head with it is pink, and neither one wants a pink room.

Quoting CheesyKitty:

Why not?

How about a damask sort of theme in the color of their choosing. I'd stay away from orange or purple so it doesnt end up looking halloweeny...

I definitely understand that. They didnt ask and I refused or anything. I just want to reuse my boys' like new black beds in the girls' room when I buy them full size bed. When my teenage boys wanted black we compromised with all black furniture, metallic walls and red accent pieces.

Quoting notjstanothrmom:

If that is what she wanted. I wanted all black furniture as a teen and my mom REFUSED. I hated it. I hated that I had to keep her ugly floral wall paper on the walls and she wouldn't let me paint and do my own thing.

My kids do not and will not have free range on their rooms but we can work together to make their room a space that is nice an reflects them while still being nice and cohesive.

They are black bed frames. Wood though, not metal.

Haha when we bought these it was for the boys who wanted a black room. The compromise was black furniture, metallic walls and red accents.
