First Id like to say that I plan on asking his dr for an evaluation but I dont want to sound crazy..... So my ds will be 4 in a few weeks and some of the things he does concerns me. Most of it I wouldnt worry about but with everything together it concerns me. Heres some things he does... Hes always rocked his head side to side constantly. Hes super sensitive to sound light and certain textures and sometimes even temperatures. He doesnt like any kind of change. He wants everything to be yellow and have a B and a 3 on it. He wont eat anything "broken" and theres more but thats the main ones. Some examples today we went out to eat with my mom we never go out to eat but his grandparents take him out sometimes. He said I was freaking him out because he didnt know this restaurant. It was crowded and he grabs his ears screaming that its to loud and his ears hurt. I had to take him outside to calm him down. Continued in replies sorry mobile....

when we were dying eggs he freaked out if he couldnt use the yellow and if there wasnt a B on his egg. When its sunny he screams his eyes hurt. He cant eat potatos or anything similar in texture. If hes eating a chip and it breaks he throws it and starts screaming. Theres many many more but this is getting long but thats the gist of it.

Oh and when he throws his little screaming fits the only way to calm him down is to hold him very tightly (not squeezing but almost like a swaddle) so hell feel comforted. Some of these things may seem normal but I cant help but worry. also he didnt talk til he was a year and a half. He gets frustrated easily if he cant figure something out. If we go a different way to get somewhere he freaks out.

He may be autistic or just have some sensory issues. Your doctor can tell you more and recommend some resources to help. Don't worry, just make sure you follow up with recommended specialists and stand up for your DS - you know him the very best! Good luck OP!!

Thanks Ive had people say he could be autistic but I have a nephew and cousin that are autistic and he functions more than both of them but I also know everyones different. I just wasnt sure if it was all in my head or if I should say something to his dr. I just dont want him to think Im crazy.

Sounds like sensory processing disorder and maybe autism too. My son has both and is high functioning. Good luck
