You'll get candy, but don't expect toys

What is it with people providing an Easter that is similar to Christmas?  What happened to just chocolate bunnies, and maybe a stuffed animal?  Is that not good enough anymore?  And we wonder why kids are spoiled rotten......

Ok...  that's your opinion :)  Everyone has one.  See I see people on both sides get bashed to hell and back on this topic.  It's best if we respect one another's opinion!

oh no? tell that to the kid in walmart having a tantrum cuz mommy won't buy him the newest toy, and he thinks he entitled to it.

Mine will get a few toys. I always got toys and candy growing up.

Sugar rots teeth.  I'd rather spend my money on toys than give it all to the dentist.

LOL mine is the opposite. My kids (5,4,2) don't need candy. They get a small chocolate bunny and the rest is usually stuff for our summer travels: new sunglasses, hats, travel game for the car etc. Instead of buying crap I fill the basket with stuff they are going to need anyways. My way is different and I spend a lot of money but, I don't see it as spoiling my kids.

I do a very small amount of both, but it is only on holidays that my children get toys. We dont buy the something new every week or even every month. Giving your kids something special every now and then isnt spoiling them.

That child is spoiled because he has no discipline. He is allowed to throw those tantrums and mom has never demanded respect. The things themselves did not spoil that child

Idk ...when DD is older I'll buy her baskets loaded with candy and a few books and toys but not a freakin' Xbox or something. lol
